The Grapes of Wrath

Too many years late and I am only now about to sit down to begin reading Steinbeck’s masterpiece.

I think I will not want to put the book down once I begin but on the other hand I might not like it. We will see. Updates as and when.

Steinbeck’s detail in the narrative is impressive and time consuming! I will persevere. So far it is a labour of ‘literary must do’.

The book is absolutley a ‘literary must do’. It is a ‘must read’. I cannot go through life without reading this classic. It is brilliant.

One of the best books I have ever read. The “I’ll be there” monologue towards the end still sends shivers down my spine.
