Oops! An apparent advocate, supporter and promoter of Climate Change through its live TV News broadcasts, no lesser an august organisation than the BBC, omits to blame Climate Change for the UK’s wettest summer on record. How utterly hilarious. While for the Climate Changologists it must be utterly unforgiveable for the BBC to be so brazenly remiss for not carrying the climate change ‘message’ forth.

Eeeek ! An opportunity missed. What do we do now…..?!

Thank God for small mercies is all I can say. Afterall, it is His weather and climate systems and earth and to have sceons of mere mortal anal retentive dreadlocked, hoodied, parachute trousered blethering idiots protesting that their climate is being fucked up might set the religious ferver going among the GodSquadders about who owns it. And unfortunately, before you or I know it, we’ll be caught up in the middle of a barney between two fanatical subsets of cranially inversed dimwits.

This reminds me of that moral debate on TV decades ago long before Climate Changeologists were born, when Muggerige and the Church challenged the moral ethic of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. As I recall Michael Palin and John Cleese were brilliant in their defense of the right to satarise religion and anything else for that matter. The sanctimonious Bishop and Muggerige were seen for what they were - unenlightened arseholes.

Anyway,

BBC Online reports on 31st August 2007, “This summer appears to have been the wettest since rainfall records began in 1914, according to provisional data from the UK’s Met Office.”

The BBC goes on to say, “Britain had 358.5mm of rain, just beating the 1956 record of 358.4mm.”

“The record years for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales respectively remain 1958, 1985 and 1927.”

“June, July and August saw a mean temperature of 14.1C, almost exactly the average for summers since the 1970s.”

I like the tentative assertion by the BBC in the first line above, “This summer appears to…”. Either there is a new record or not. There can’t ‘appear’ to be one. And if not then don’t report that there might be. I can claim that there might be a revolt by TV licence paying public to stop paying the BBC fee. Or not. Maybe.

Was the heavy rain in 1956 maybe due to the planet’s industrial rebuilding programme being at its peak and fossil fuels were being chowed up by the terra-tonne each minute? No? But wasn’t the earth already very warmed up in the 1950’s? Anyone?

So why did the 2007 summer rainfall beat the 1956 record? Was it because in 2007 and 1956, the jetstream changed from its normal annual course thus ensuring ensured the entire collection of moisture and further precipitation occuring out in the Atlantic would get dumped directly over the UK. No doubt a Climate Changeologist will establish junk science to prove the jetstrem repositioned itself because it was a victim of ‘climate change’. As for the earth being very warm in the 1950’s, the answer is no it was not.

During the immediate postwar period up to the 1970’s and despite the huge postwar industrial rebuild going on across the planet, the earth was cool. So please ignore the hype until such time, (soon I hope), that the two opposing climate camps hold a public debate.
