On 5th August I went online at Amazon.co.uk to order and pay for a Dell Axim X51v Powered Speaker Mount for the car. Having recently loaded TomTom v6 Navigator onto the Dell X51v, the speaker mount seemed the appropriate ‘extra’ to purchase.
Afterall it’d be nice to hear if I am supposed to turn or to go straight on. Also, I wanted to be able to listen and shout back at John Cleese and confuse him by taking the opposite direction to what he commands you do! Small things please small minds, particularly on long roadtrips to Scotland.
I was emailed by Amazon on 6th August, (the day after I ordered and paid for the unit) to say my order had been shipped and if there were any problems, I was to contact Amazon’s outsource supplier called Keshtechs. All well and good. They had also mailed the parcel out standard mail so it should not be held up at all. Yippeee!
After waiting 2 weeks while excusing the delayed delivery on the Postal Workers strike, I emailed Keshcheks. That is what Amzon’s email confirming shipment said I should do. So I did. But I did not receive a response. I Googled Keshtechs. Do it. See what happens. I again let the lack of response pass due to the possibility that they had a stack of non-delivery complaints due to the strike to get through. Being the considerate consumer, I waited.
Until last night when I thought enough is enough and went onto Amazon UK’s site and sent them the snotto-gram below:
Comments Date
“Shipped 6 August. Now 28 August not delivered. No response to my email to deliver or refund. Bad, bad, bad service.” 28 Aug 2007
This at last seemed to do the trick and get someone’s attention because a couple of hours back I received a note from Amazon saying:
Greetings from Amazon.co.uk.

amount of £33.99 for your Order #026-9XX5X2X-X2XX67 from Keshtechs. This refund is for the following item(s):
