You so will not believe what I did last night.
I did something silly last night. Foolishness swept over me in a rush of impulsiveness. I was irrational. Totally not making sense at all. I was reckless and threw any form of logic to the wind. I threw caution out into the dark cold night.
I signed up…..errr yeah well, what I have done is suddenly sinking in. I err, I have signed up to ummmmm…………..errr. Hell, I cannot believe that I did it. I mean what was I thinking, or not thinking about at the time I did it?
Thanks to Eve at Thought Leader I have signed up at Na No Wri Mo and committed myself to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November 2007. How profanely dumb of me. How utterly over-ambitious, arrogant, doff, dom etc of me.
Katt (will add her blog URL later) did this project last year and succeeded. She is a novelist. And I hold her in high esteem and from the lowly frightening place I am at right now, what she achieved is remarkable. No mean feat at all. Kudos Katt.
I have so many doubts raging through me. I am worried about motivation. Very, very concerned about inspiration and maintaining the level required to write between 1500 - 2000 words a night, retaining your curiosity and your attention, while trying to keep the plot runnining to its conclusion all while building the characters and making the read easy.
Onward and upward!
eish!

Hee Hee!!!
I was counting the words on a printed book’s page last night, and realized - to my horror- that 50 000 words IS a full length book. Like, for instance, The Alchemist
Now I am worried too!
Oh great - so I am not alone!
Unless you are reffering to my perceived suspect abilities to meet the challenge…………Mmmmmm??!
I didn’t sign up, because I’ll be writing a non-fiction book. So there! Since I’m being dragged around courts of law in the republic of cape verde about some filming without permits on government property, I might as well do something else for a bit.

Good grief! I leave you alone for just a little while and this happens!
