Hypnosis: The Hidden Secret

You may not know that I am a qualified and licenced NLP Practitioner.

I can and do use hypnosis or deep states on myself to help enhance my development as a human being and can also use hypnosis on you (only with your permission and consent), to help you too to improve your skills and to also help you to gain an improved understanding of what you really can accomplish if you truly want to succeed at what you do.

Hypnosis is surrounded by myth and movie legend. And I have been telling anyone who will listen to not be afraid of hypnosis.

In the article below, Kevin Forrester debunks the old fishwives tales, secrets and myths that have kept hypnosis under a cloak of mystery for so long. Now you can read the truth about what hypnosis is and what good and great things it can do for you while you remain completely in control, fully aware of and helping to manage what you alone permit to happen.

Basic Hypnotism
By Kevin Forrester

How does basic hypnotism work? It probably is not as you would think or expect. A lot of the misconceptions people have about what hypnosis is or what happens during hypnosis is the direct result of the way it is being betrayed by Hollywood and television.

Most people think of the hypnotist waving the gold watch in front of a person who is then under the complete control of the hypnotist. The subject then does anything the hypnotist commands, including clucking like a chicken. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The subject will not do anything that he doesn’t want to do.

In order to answer the question, how does hypnosis work, below are some misconceptions that people have regarding hypnosis and hypnotic techniques:

*Hypnosis is sleep or loss of consciousness.

Hypnosis is not sleep or a loss of consciousness. Hypnosis is a deep state of physical relaxation and actually produces a heighten state of mental alertness.

*The person will only hear the hypnotist’s voice.

The person is able to hear everything and is conscious of everything going on around him

*The person doesn’t remember what the hypnotist says and does.

There is no selective memory loss. The person will remember everything that is said to him. The heightened state of mental alertness will often times produce extraordinarily vivid recall.

*You are under complete control of the hypnotist.

The hypnotist does exercise control by your allowing him the control the control over you. You are allowing yourself to let your inhibitions down.

*Not everyone can be hypnotized.

Anyone of normal capacity and intelligence can be hypnotized.

*Hypnosis is about mind control.

Hypnosis is not about mind control. Hypnosis is about mind enhancement.

We all have within ourselves certain beliefs and attitudes that influence us in how we accomplish our goals. However, because of our past negative conditioning our positive beliefs have been suppressed. This lends itself to a destructive pattern of behavior, which causes negative attitudes and negative results. Hypnosis allows us to recondition our thought patterns and influence ourselves with positive thoughts and affirmations. With the use of positive affirmations and a genuinely positive attitude we can effectively lead a more prosperous and productive life. How does basic hypnosis work? Now you know part of it.
