Bravo, encore, Your Irreverency!
I have previously been known to be irreverent and put my foot in it. I pale into insignicance beside Maestro Grande Master di Irreverence, Mr David Tebbutt.
David is old school and earned his spurs many years back. He does not suffer fools nor mince his words.

I have so much to learn from David. But first, I want his autograph!
I have to say that trackbacking and pings do not make for good conversation. Conversation is comprised of a two or multi-sided discourse where all participating parties air their views of difference or concur on opinions or resolutions tabled. Conversation is also good for selling, marketing, just shooting the breeze, blethering, idle banter, tongue-wagging, gossip, rumour-mongering and stirring. Yeah, all this good stuff is what conversation is about. Or is it?

Found you because you caused a rumpus about Seth and his audacious arrogance to close off comments!
I learnt that the world is made up of clever people, not so clever people and bores. Clever people do not stoop to blatant overpowering acronym usage in conversation nor need to prove they are clever. This is you and the cherry on top is that you are forthright. This makes for crystal clear clarity in all your communications and avoids any ambiguity. Staffers will have no problem translating your ideas and turning them into what you want. Also, if you think Joe is a tosser, you say it.
One of my raison detre in life is to have acronyms and Technobilge expunged from conversations. If people are so insecure that they have to litter their speech with ABC and cannot talk to me in good old plain English then I tune out and piss off to do something productive. I will not waste my tinme listening to technobilge tumbling out of an orifice that was made to consume food to survive and to communicate with.
Good plain English coupled with the ability to articulate makes life easy. I like that. You speak plain English and tell it as it is.This annoys a lot of the sychphants who gather on the coattails of blogosphere’s Uberguru’s and for this I applaud you, and opens up even more good conversation and debate that is essential if we want to progress as a species.
I recall seeing a link to your blog about Seth. I clicked on it and found a clever man speaking English and I understood what he was saying. Man oh man, this is a rare treat in blogoland!
In summation, it is simply bad manners to hold a one sided conversation in blogoland and especially arrogant to shut off comments regardless of the numbers and inability to respond. If you ain’t got the time to read them all and acknowledge them, have a retainer do it for you!. So meanwhile we must just sit back and accept what Seth says and not be allowed to challenge or debate? Nice.
